Cuq En Terrasses

An absolutely charming place surrounded by beautiful landscapes. The rooms are lovely, decorated in every detail. Philippe & Andonis are great hosts. They predict your needs before you even tell them. I couldn't try dinner as I was there for a wedding nearby but the breakfast was delicious, in special the croissant pudding. ;) A perfect place for the real french experience!

Wow!! I could just leave that as a one word review for our overnight stay at Cuq en Terrasses, that one word summarises everything perfectly. But going into a little more detail… our accommodation was La Tour and it was a fantastic apartment. Plenty of room for the two of us and our two dogs. The bed was extremely comfortable. We had seen reviews that the food would be really good, but it was absolutely amazing. We chose the tasting menu and every one of the seven courses was purely delightful. The selection of wines was fantastic, as was the aperitif that we had, Armagnac, sparkling wine and orange liqueur, will definitely try to recreate that when we get home. The service was also top notch, all the staff that we met were lovely and Philippe and Andonis were amazing hosts. Our one night here could well be the highlight of our three week trip around France, we will definitely return.

Simply one of the best dining experiences I've had in the last ten years living in France. Delicious food, a beautiful building and really nice staff, while the wine list has been seriously well thought out with pricing that is just too good to be true, but is! And the chef has the most amazing voice (thank you for the anniversary song!). Unmissable!

I stayed at Cuq at the end of May, 2017, having been there over a year before. Each visit was quite wonderful. Philippe answered any questions about the area and was always there when needed. The large house in a setting overlooking the surrounding area has several rooms and is beautifully appointed. I have stayed in two of the rooms of the house and found both to be quite charming. I loved eating outdoors with the great view for dinner. The food is as good as the view and some of the best eating we did in France. Andonis is a very creative cook with a passion for food and music that is demonstrated at the end of dinner. We enjoyed taking to him while he worked the piano. I went to Cuq originally because a friend recommended it. I would highly recommend it as well.
